Public Service Announcement

Elizabeth and Phoebe would like to remind you that there are only 61 days left until our favorite holiday, so it's time to start planning this year's costume.

According to my Google Analytics account,
110 of you jokers visited my blog yesterday.
And y'all have been notoriously quiet in the "comment" arena lately.
I don't know if you know this, but Ryan Craig totally judges the quality of my blog posts by the number of comments I get on them. And y'all have been making me look BAD lately.

So, stop lurking already and start commenting!
Mamas: what are YOU dressing your kid up as for Halloween?
Come on, you know you're already thinking about it!

Introducing The Fullers

Tiffany, Archer, Andrew, and Ashton

Archer

Ashton

I am so blessed to call Tiffany a friend.
I know I always say this,
but REALLY, it was so much fun to shoot her family session tonight.

When I came home tonight I told Elizabeth that she already has permission to date Archer Fuller when she gets older. Or Ashton. Whatev. Those 2 cuties make me want to go out and have a son immediately.

Introducing Graham

One of our few sleeping pics. Mr. Graham did not want to miss out on anything!

They're like a family of models.
Seriously.
Gorgeous.

Don't you just love his little blonde mohawk?

Lensbaby

Today, during Elizabeth's nap, my Lensbaby came in the mail.
E was so excited, she couldn't wait for us to try it out!
So here we go...

E and I are officially in love.
You too?

Behind the Scenes

We did Karis's photo shoot at my house. Elizabeth was there, but was happily occupied the whole time with her new BFF, Becky's mom (don't worry, I don't normally bring my baby to photo shoots!) At the very end, E suddenly became completely fascinated by Karis.

I've sat here for 10 minutes staring at the screen.
Trying to come up with the right words to describe
how I feel about these photos.
But there are really no words.
Only a great big full, happy, and grateful heart.

Introducing Karis

Miss Karis really needs no introduction to my blog readers by this point,
but here she is, in her official newborn shoot.

Things I love and never want to forget...

How much we loved Elizabeth’s gummy smile. And how weird she looks now with top teeth.

That time Elizabeth woke up from a 2 hour nap, so awake and ready to play. And then 10 minutes later when she met some of our friends for the first time, how she played shy and buried her head in her daddy’s lap. And how she stayed that way for so long, and we laughed and laughed and thought she was so silly. And then we realized she’s fallen dead asleep like that.

The way our 60 year old hardwood floors creak beneath my feet.

That time the dog threw up on the couch and Ryan tried to clean it with Febreze air freshener. Because it was, you know, Febreze.

How you can hear, from our living room, the faint sound of a train whistle in the distance.

That ten minutes after we sat discussing my upcoming 31st birthday, I could hear Ryan singing Deana Carter’s “Strawberry Wine” at the top of his lungs while he was giving E a bath. (“I still remember, when 30 was old…”) And how much I love that in the last 7 years, one of us always breaks into that song whenever we discuss our thirties. And how weird it feels to finally be there.

Introducing Weston

(um, hello, MY FAVORITE PICTURE OF ALL TIME)

These are some friends of ours from Austin- Danielle, Tim, and their baby, Weston. They were in Houston for a wedding this weekend, and we managed to squeeze in a photo shoot on their way out of town. At 3pm. Yes, it was 103 degrees. But we had a blast and it was so fun to get to see them again! Yes, and on a side note, Weston is only 9 months old and practically walking ON HIS OWN. I mean, he is sooooo close. Meanwhile, my kid was just figuring out how to crawl when she was that age. He is very advanced. But Elizabeth has some hair he can borrow. ;)

Second Lieutenant Langham

This afternoon our friend Josh was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. It was an honor to be there to support him, and such a blast to be asked to photograph the event.

Karen and Joshua, Jr. backstage

Karen pins Josh during the ceremony. This tradition is too sweet for words.

We wanted a good family photo, but sometimes you just have to go with
an HONEST family photo! ;)

Introducing Liam

I'm sorry, but is he not just the cutest thing ever?
Look at those eyes! Those lips!
Oh, he is just DIVINE!

This is possibly my favorite of all of the pics I took today.
There's just something so sweet about a little boy playing with his dinosaur.
And look at those sweet baby toes!

Such a sweet, gorgeous family.

Figuring Things Out

I was loading the dishwasher tonight and knew E was occupied directly behind me doing something, but I didn't really care what it was because at least she wasn't crawling on top of the open dishwasher while I was loading, can I get an AMEN? So, anyway, I turned around and found this.

And this next pic is for my sweet friend Jodie Connally. Jodie & her boys were over at my house for a play date last week. She comes out of my bathroom with one of them and says incredulously, "You don't have to put locks on your cabinets?" "Um, not really. Why?" She explains that they had not been in the bathroom 5 seconds when Luke had the bathroom cabinet under the sink open and his hands around the Clorox bottle. I responded (very stupidly), "Well, we haven't really had to deal with that yet. She's never even tried to open a cabinet door. I mean, we have the one childproofed underneath the sink in the kitchen, but she's never even messed with it."

So, Jodie my dear, this one's for you!

Last Night

Here are a few more from last night:
